I found a few new shark projects on Pinterest this year! Thank you Pinterest! And Pinterest friends for sharing your ideas!
Super cute and fun sharks!
Shark shilouettes using liquid water color, coffee fliters and a crickcut machine.
Shark finger painting. I created this shark pattern many years ago. We used several different color paints so the children could mix them together, more fun than finger painting with a single color. We used silver metallic finger paint, blue glitter paint, white tempera paint and little black tempera paint.
We added some fun Hawaiian dress up to our Dramatic play area too!
At our preschool tea party the children sing 2 songs for the moms. This year we sang "l'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee" and the " Cuppycake Song"
Homemade teapot sugar cookies
Hand cut shilouette Mother's Day cards with tissue paper flowers and gold and silver glitter paper flower centers. We used a circle punch and sizzix die cut machine for the flowers. Inside the card was a poem about finger prints.
Teapot place mats made by the kids
The gift was a the child's handprint on a hot pad. I really like to make this simple inexpensive gift because it can be easily stored in the kitchen drawer for years to come. I often have siblings in my class a year or two later and then they can have a set of handprint hot pads.
I got lazy this year a bought cupcakes.
Hydrangea center pieces on mini crates for decorations.
Teacups with flowers in them as a picture holder. I went around the classroom to each mom and preschooler and took their picture with an instant camera (fugi instax) and placed in the teacup as a keepsake. I saw this cute idea on Pinterest.
Have children sprinkle crayon shavings on 1 side of the butterfly. Fold in half and melt with an iron out of reach of children. You need to put parchment paper under neath and on top of the butterfly before melting.
Water color butterflies with bingo bottles filled with liquid watercolor and coffee filters.
